Tully State High School aims to ensure that students are supported by an environment that is organised and provides opportunities for students to achieve their best. The following policies outline expectations and procedures for the school community.
Administering Medication and First Aid
Students may require medication while they are attending school or during school related activities to manage ongoing health disorders or conditions, short-term illnesses or in response to a medical emergency. The administration of medications to students is only to occur when there is either medical authorisation for its administration, or is required as an emergency first aid response. If your child is required to take medication at school, please provide the office staff with:
- a completed Consent to Administer Medication form
- the medication in its original container
- medical authorisation (eg pharmacy label or a letter from the doctor, signed health action plan)

Tully State High School's Attendance Policy aims to ensure students are actively engaged in school and that students attend school every day to ensure optimal indiviual outcomes and student participation.

Sunsmart Policy
Our schools Sunsmart Policy (DOCX, 119KB) has been developed to ensure that all students and workers (ie teachers, staff and volunteers) of Tully State High School maintain a healthy UV exposure balance which minimises the risk of skin cancer with appropriate sun protection measures, yet ensures some daily sun exposure for vitamin D requirements.
Uniform Policy
The Tully State High School Parents and Citizen's Association has resolved that it is compulsory for all students at Tully State High School to wear the correct and full school uniform each day. The School Uniform Dress Standard outlines our school uniform expectations.
