Sunsmart Policy: The Tully SHS Sunsmart Policy has been developed to ensure that all students and workers (ie teachers, staff and volunteers) of Tully State High School maintain a healthy UV exposure balance which minimises the risk of skin cancer with appropriate sun protection measures, yet ensures some daily sun exposure for vitamin D requirements.
Complaints Policy: The Department of Education and Training is committed to ensuring that all complaints are dealt with in a fair and equitable manner. There are processes and support networks to enable you and your child to work through any issues or concerns you may have.
Illness of students: A student who claims to be ill during a lesson should be referred to the sick bay by the Teacher. The General Policy is that parents will be contacted and asked to collect students rather than permit an extended stay in the Sick Room.

Early departure: Parents should make contact with the school if students who have an appointment wish to leave the grounds. Parents may call the school, write a note including a signature, use QParents or our ID Attend textline - 0429 043 650 (include name, grade, reason and date). Students will need to collect a Leave pass from our Office prior to departure.
Late arrival: Parents should make contact with the school if a student is going to be late. Parents may call the school, write a note including a signature, use QParents or use our ID Attend textline - 0429 043 650 (include name, grade, reason and date).
